Joseph is Co-Founder and CEO of S-Network Global Indexes. He is responsible for all aspects of the company’s business including business development, human resources, administration, public relations, operations and compliance.
Prior to S-Network, Joseph served as a Managing Director of UBS, with responsibility for all facets of the firm’s global exchange traded fund initiative. Prior to joining UBS, Joseph was a Managing Director and Senior Consultant of S-Network LLC, where he maintained responsibility for relationships with key clients, including State Street Bank & Trust, Goldman Sachs and Barclays Global Investors. Before joining S-Network, Joseph was a Managing Director of Deutsche Bank where he was responsible for the bank’s US index arbitrage and portfolio trading businesses. Joseph managed Deutsche Bank’s entry into the US ETF market, launching the first open-end 40-Act Fund to be listed on US stock exchanges. He also worked as part of the management teams at both Nomura and Kidder Peabody, with responsibility for managing those firms’ index arbitrage businesses. Joseph graduated with a BA in Political Science from the State University of New York.
Richard is Co-Founder, Senior Index Analyst and Head of Index Operations of S-Network Global Indexes. He is responsible for all aspects of index development and production, overseeing the creation and distribution of more than 200 stock market indexes which serve as the basis for over $5 billion in financial products.
Prior to S-Network, Richard worked as a Senior Consultant to UBS, with responsibility for the firm’s EUR 1 billion+ European exchange traded fund initiative. Richard also served as a Managing Director and Senior Consultant of S-Network LLC, where he advised major financial institutions on ETFs and index-based product development. He maintained primary responsibility for relationships with the American Stock Exchange, Deutsche Borse and UBS and helped facilitate iShares and Vanguard’s entry into the US ETF market Prior to joining S-Network, Richard served as Managing Director of HP Corporate Communications, Inc., a New York consulting firm specializing in strategic planning for large financial institutions. Over a fifteen-year period, Richard was responsible for overseeing long-term relationships with Deutsche Bank, UBS, Swiss Bank Corporation, Societe Generale, National Westminster Bank, Deutsche Borse, Eurex, the German Economics Ministry, the Czech State (Central) Bank, the Deutsche Bundesbank and the United Nations Development Program, among others. Richard attended Hunter College.
Herb is Head of Business Development for S-Network Global Indexes. He is responsible for all facets of business development, including development of both proprietary and custom indexes. He provides quantitative input on index development with an emphasis on “Smart Beta” indexes and coordinates interaction with market participants on investment-related educational activities. Herb also serves as Steering Committee Chairperson of QWAFAFEW.
Prior to S-Network, Herb worked as Managing Director of Quantitative Solutions at Rapid Ratings International, where he served as account manager for institutional investors, insurance companies, and banks and assisted risk managers in integrating the firm’s data into corporate systems. Prior to joining Rapid Ratings, Herb was Founder and Managing Principal at QED International Associates, where he consulted with asset management firms to develop and market ETFs, global asset allocation strategies, and risk-controlled hedge vehicles. In this capacity, he assisted in product development and introduction with iShares, GLD, and X Shares and developed construction/maintenance methodologies of Dow Jones Global Indexes. From 1993-1997, Herb was a Director at Deutsche Bank Securities Corporation. He served as Senior Portfolio Manager of CountryBaskets, a quantitatively based, NYSE-traded, family of international ETFs. Herb was also a Portfolio Manager and Senior Quantitative Analyst at Value Line Inc. Herb holds an advanced business degree from NYU Stern Graduate School of Business and a BA in Mathematics from the University of Pennsylvania. He authored a chapter for the Fabozzi book “Perspectives on Equity Indexing."
Patrick is responsible for the development, production and maintenance of all S-Network indexes, including indexes that serve as the underlying for financial products holding $5 billion in AuM. He is also responsible for the oversight of product-centered company IT.
Prior to S-Network, Patrick worked as a Research Analyst for Dow Jones Indexes where he was a member of the custom index quarterly review team and managed the Calvert Social and Ardour Global Indexes. Patrick also served as a Quality Assurance Analyst at Restricted Stock Systems where he developed and implemented testing procedures for new software. Patrick earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance with a concentration in Management Information Systems for Rutgers University School of Business.
George is responsible for index optimization, factor model research and quantitative modeling. He also develops and monitors S-Network’s quality control processes for data and output consistency and accuracy and maintains the firm’s EOD calculation engine.
Prior to S-Network, George served as the Director of Quantitative and Risk Analytics at US Trust where he managed the firm’s Enterprise portfolio risk management system, developed a method to measure security selection skill using noise filters, implemented approaches for manager evaluation for the CIO, and established the company’s first AIMR compliant investment area. George was also a Principal at Wilshire Associates. During his sixteen years at Wilshire, he was responsible for the growth and development of several of Wilshire's financial services, and assisted many large custodial organizations with the development of performance evaluation reporting. George has a PhD in Neurophysiology, and prior to working at Wilshire Associates, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow and Assistant Professor at the Brain Research Institute at UCLA School of Medicine. George graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BS in Engineering Science.
Gregg is Head of ESG Solutions at S-Network Global Indexes, a provider of ESG ratings and indexes. As Head of ESG Solutions, Gregg has sought to elevate the economic context of corporate sustainability through ESG, SRI, CSR, and risk mitigation. He has written extensively on these topics as well as human rights as it relates to supply chains, and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences.
With more than 20 years of business and entrepreneurial experience, Gregg has collaborated with small and large organizations, helping to identify business opportunities and convert them into successful ventures. Gregg is also an adjunct professor at Ramapo College and a non-faculty instructor at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs where he co-instructs a course in Strategic Corporate Social Responsibility. His previous jobs include head of North American business development at SunGard, a Registered Investment Advisor at UBS, and the Executive Director and President of the New Jersey Captive Insurance Association. Gregg has a Master of Public Administration degree from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs.
Stephen is responsible for the acquisition and management of full service and self-indexing clients including, but not limited to, registered investment advisors, exchange traded product sponsors, and mutual fund and insurance companies. Prior to S-Network, Stephen operated an investment consulting firm providing subject matter expertise regarding strategy, distribution and product development initiatives. Prior to consulting, Stephen held product development and strategy positions at New York Life Investments and PineBridge Investments where he led the development and launch of closed and open-end funds, a fund of hedge funds, and offshore funds. He also providing internal consulting support, at both firms, for a number of critical initiatives designed to support revenue growth and contain costs. Before PineBridge, Stephen led international sales for the Americas at AIM Investments, now INVESCO, where he built a sales team dedicated to offshore funds distribution targeting Latin American and Asian investors. During his tenure, Stephen became an Associate Partner and member of the Executive Management Committee. He began his career at MFS Investments in client service, initially, and then spent more than nine years in sales roles marketing the MFS domestic and offshore mutual funds to intermediaries throughout the United States.
Stephen earned a B.S. in Business Administration from Skidmore College. He has CMS® and SSLP certifications and previously held FINRA Series 7, 65 & 63 licenses.
Andrei is responsible for creating, constructing and implementing index selection methodologies and calculating final index results.
Prior to joining S-Network, Andrei interned at Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley in the Wealth Management division. Andrei graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Management Information Systems.
Dalton is responsible for the development and ongoing maintenance of all S-Network Benchmark Indexes, which consist of over sixty indexes that divide the global equity market based on various market capitalization sizes, styles, and sectors. He is also responsible for S-Network’s in-house production service which manages over one hundred indexes through EOD index calculation, corporate action research and handling, and file generation.
Prior to joining S-Network, Dalton served as a research assistant at 7Twelve Advisors, LLC, and a Registered Assistant at Girard Securities, Inc. where he obtained his FINRA Series 7 & 66 licenses. Dalton is a 2017 Level II Candidate in the CFA Program and graduated magna cum laude with a BBA in Financial Institution Management from Middle Tennessee State University.
Jack is on the Index Operations team and participates in development and maintenance.
Prior to joining S-Network, Jack Interned at Cantor Fitzgerald on their ETF trading desk. Jack graduated from University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in economics and minoring in philosophy.
Zack participates in the development and maintenance of the websites and social media pages published by S-Network, as well as updating product presentations, managing data quality, and interacting with third-party consultants to S-Network.
Prior to joining S-Network, Zack served as a Research Assistant in the Political Science Department at Stony Brook University, and as a Sales Assistant at Harri. Zack earned his BA in Psychology (minoring in Art) from Augustana University in Sioux Falls, SD.
